The road to Imlil earns its hairpins: terraced fields, apple orchards, snow-fed streams, and at the end of it, a mountain guide (and, if you insist, a mule) for a circuit through Tamatert and the walnut village of Aroumd. Lunch is a tagine in a family gîte with the whole valley on one side.
